Happy Birthday and One Year Anniversary!

Assalaamualaikum people! Am super happy to write this post because on this date I was born yeay!! I’m talking about my birthday.woohoooo..:P.Its not just about my birth date, but also about this month as a whole.Firstly,its about the birth of our beloved prophet Mohammed (S.A.W),then my boy fie and I met on 21^st  January (so we are one year old  :D) then my boyfie celebrates his birthday on 24^th January me on 27^th January. January is sweet month ey? We love January aite? Hmmm.Alhamdulilaah for everything in my life. The good the bad the ugly. God has always been by my side and in him I trust. My greatest wish in to the next years of my life is to build a family that is God-fearing and filled with love..: D.amiiin!

End Of Year Award!

Assalaamualaikum people!like i promise in my previous blog,i said i was going to blog on the award i received at my company's end of year award held on December 2012.And again, i was surprised to be called to received for been efficient in meeting all my Key Responsibility Areas.What can i say Alhamdulilah... he he! you cannot blame me for my hard work lol hahhaha! i received this certificate with a wine glass....

In The Spirit Of Love!!

Assalaamualakum and  hey all! this world was created with the greatest love from Allaah and everything in it was mad with love,so at the end of it all we cannot be that satisfied as spiritual beings when our actions are not directed to the love of Allah and the creatures he has on this world.

Indeed,in an hadith narrated by  Muslim:Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) observed: one amongst you believes (truly) till one likes for his brother or for his neighbour that which he loves for himself. (Sahih Muslim, Bk 1, Number 0072).

Which means , if  ones believes an act is not going to  make him /her happy, surely that act should not me made or directed to others.

Life

January 2013 is looking promising already,because the atmosphere is calm, peaceful and everyone seem to be going about their daily activities :).If you ask me i will say once am still alive, Alhamdulilah , possibilities  and optimism are endless .And Sunday wasn't different for me because the harmattan has kept the country quiet and calm,so i decide to go green ,coz green is life and life is calm hehe!

 ..Honestly speaking,when i saw this skirt i couldn't resist buying it...hihi

Financial Wake Up Call

Assalaamualaikum and hye people! i have been thinking about whether to blog about this issue or not.why?? because am extremely ashamed of myself for my lack of financial plan.

To begin with,before i gained admission into uni, my prayer was that as soon as i graduate,i should get employment, save enough money,buy my own car and some personal properties.All of this which i still pray toAllah to guide me in achieving .Low and behold,because Allahu (swt) is sameeu aleem,he did answer my prayers.Because i got a job as soon as i graduated.But little did i know that in as much as you want God to help you in something, you must be able to help yourself.

And that was exactly what i did  not do.i forgot to plan for the income i have been  recieving all these months.But then again, i did save some money when i was doing my national youth service.if you ask me now what happened to the money? oh oh oh! everything is gone, but to nowhere and nothing,absolutely nothing.

But all of this did not remind me that am forgetting about my future financial need,until i read an article on  Maria Elena's blog on savings tips(http://peliks.blogspot.com/2012/04/saving-tips.html),a malaysian.Then i realised that i have been a total waste in terms of finance.then i started asking myself a whole lot of questions? and honestly speaking,i think am such a failure!

so as part of my new years resolution,i have decided to start saving.And am doing this base on Maria elena's categorisation of savings tips.She categorise it as:Responsibilities, Savings, Miscellaneous.she expleins it as follow:

Responsibilities are: my bills, rent, car maintenance, petrol, food, zakat, etc. these are where my money will go as soon as i receive my salary. But I don’t have any of this responsibilties.

Savings are: savings for travel and future family. it's best if you have a different account to transfer into when you receive your salary.You should have  more than 1 bank account, fyi!

Miscellaneous are:entertainments, shoppings, unnecessary stuff that we just want and don't need.

now  allowance being 100%, take 50% out for Responsibilities, take 30% out for Savings and the rest 20% for Miscellaneous. You can change the percentage up to your affordibility .

your Savings share must be the first to go. transfer it into a different account. ups to you. but this must be kept hidden from your gatal-spending-mood-swings. if you're putting it into a different account, don't make a debit card for it. just atm would be fine.

And the most important point she made  was that,all this can be achieved with great DISCIPLINE…And I totally AGREE with her,discipline is needed all the time huh? And this has been my financial wake up call,I believe you readers will learn something from it too.

The Hardest yet Gratifying thing to do

Assalamualaikum and hey all! funny i think this post is late,but the reason is i was trying to think about the things i have been able to achieve personally in 2012...i can only say Alhamdulilah for my life and for all the mercies he has showed on me.
First of all,2012 gave me the opportunity to find  love

i receive an award in my organization for my performance through out the year..Alhamdulilah...plus an end of year award which i haven't gotten the pic yet :P.
But overall , i must confess there were a lot i had wanted to do..insha Allah mi believe 2013 will be  promising year of break through . Amen
